Alpha gal death in NJ diagnosed postmortem

Recent news article yesterday about a patient death in NJ from suspected alpha gal diagnosed postmortem which is pretty interesting !

Tryptase level was \~2000 which is pretty high... I wonder if he had an underlying mastocytosis (ie systemic mastocytosis, smoldering mastocytosis etc? Having mastocytosis can make anaphylaxis more severe.

Any pathologists out there able to chime in regarding if bone marrow biopsies are done as part of an autopsy?
